It is also a precursor in aiming for sustainability, by 2025 all its activities must become carbon neutral and using only renewable energy. CHALLENGE :

A company goal by 2025 is clear and drastic, get rid of all non-ecofriendly material in its supply chain. Plastic used as filling material was targeted and now the plastic tape is also targeted. How to remove all the tape used over during life cycle of boxes? How to make this removal efficient and customer friendly? Those are the questions IPS had to answer for this tape removal program.

SOLUTION:

IPS Lando developed patented bespoke designs, with easy-open tear strip, to remove the multiple use of tape. Our boxes now not only ensure a complete and safe sealing but also allow the box to be reused multiple times. The removal of the tape now makes the box clean and proper, a box that can be printed better.

RESULTS:

IPS Lando easy-open tear strip boxes are a complete success. In back office, packing time is reduced by almost 50%, the box can be sealed quicker and without the need of having tape stored, bringing operational savings. The box according to its designs can be reused by the customer in case or article return. The box can be used as a high end marketing tool to reinforce brand image, easy-opening tear strip enhance consumer opening experience with a free frustration packaging. Box is 100% recyclable.
